Gallery: Nunca (August 2013, Los Angeles)

Nunca - Theonepointeight (1)

Yesterday, I got the chance to hang out with Brazilian-born and renowned graffiti artist Nunca who arrived in Los Angeles to paint this massive mural in the heart of Los Angeles. If you don’t know this guy’s work, you’re missing out. His distinctive style work can be seen all the world and he also diplayed his work at UK’s Tate Museum which was the first major display of graffit art at a public museum in London.  Here his large scale work stood next to art by Os Gemeos, Blu, JR, Faile and Sixeart. That’s just a small portion of his overall work but make sure to keep up wit him. It’s totally worth it. In the meantime, you can also check out more photos after the jump…

Flying Lotus - Hard Summer - Theonepointeight (8)

Here’s one more gallery shot during Hard Summer 2013. This time with the great Flying Lotus, arguably one of the best performances during the Fest. Part-music/part-film, his concert played to thousands of Angelenos who came to see the L.A.- born artist.  If you’re not familiar with his work, you definitely should be as he’s making some of the most progressive electronic music out there. Check out more photos after the jump and also, click on this link  to watch one of the coolest music videos I’ve seen in a long time…

Empire of the Sun - Hard Summer 2013 - Theonepointeight (7)

Here are a few photos I shot with the great Empire of the Sun while they were recently in town for Hard Summer 2013.  I was lucky enough to hang with them during their EDC2013 performance in Vegas for Rolling Stone Magazine but it was great to see them play again and get a few backstage flicks in the process. Great group of guys and extremely talented to say the least. Check out a few more photos after the jump…
